I have enjoyed my job since the first day I was hired there. I had no idea at the time that I was going to make a lifelong career out of it. Not that long ago, I was offered yet another promotion, and it was all because of the corporate party I had thrown last year. I was asked to put together an unforgettable party, which is something I had really been wanting to do for a long while. I knew that there was a corporate entertainment company that could really spice up our annual events.

To say there were a snooze fest before I took over planning them is not an exaggeration at all. I am not throwing anyone under the bus, but having a catered meal with just the radio playing is not my idea of fun. My boss heard me complaining about it one time, which is why he asked me to do a better job of it then. The budget I had to work with was very impressive, but I did not even have to use all of it to throw a party that people are still talking about today!

I did have music, but it did not come from a radio. It came from live musicians who were able to mimic some of the best groups out there today. We also had dancers and magicians that interacted with the party guests for hours. The photo booth and golf simulator were probably two of the biggest hits because of how fun both were. A lot of people here at work have photos on their desks from the photo booth which is a testament to how much fun they had. I have already started planning this year’s party, and it is going to be even better than the last one!
